My great-grandfather built it for a factory life — heavy, full of fasteners, meant to take punishment. The design was worth keeping. The weight was not.

Taken apart, resurfaced, and recut with hand-cut lap joints and mortises. A few screws remain where they earn their keep: the keystone board and the tabletop. Quarter-sawn oak, Danish oil.
